“I will be your worst nightmare…”
This was shouted so loudly that everyone inside the library could hear this person. She was, however, in a supposed soundproof office. We all continued to hear, “You have no idea of who I am and what I am capable of doing to you.” Without intending to listen further, my curiosity also heard that the entire call was over a credit card dispute of $4.27.
EVERYONE has SOMETHING.
We might not know what it is.
I made her a sign and posted it on the glass window in the office.
“Hope your day gets better! I know it will”.
It took me 12 seconds, a request for a slice of tape, and a smile to show her I was not harmful or combative.
She SMILED AND MOUTHED “THANK YOU”! Priceless.
Later, when she was off her complaint call, she found me in the library and said: "You have no idea how nice your gesture was for me today. You are terrific."
Priceless.
MOST PEOPLE DON'T is always a reminder for me to always “DO”.
